The National Freedom of Information Coalition (NFOIC) and our host, the Tennessee Coalition for Open Government will convene the annual summit at the First Amendment Center at Vanderbilt University, located at 1207 18th Ave. South.

A block of discounted rooms have been secured at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University.  Make your reservation before September 1st to get the early bird rate of $199.00. Reserve your room here.

We also welcome back and thank our Platinum Sponsor Bloomberg LP and their generous support for this important event.

Each year, the FOI Summit features the exchange of ideas, experiences and strategies about the latest issues and trends surrounding freedom of information laws, policies and practices at the state and local levels across the U.S. The summit delivers two days of panel discussions, presentations, and group interaction featuring experts, practitioners and champions of transparency and open government.

Included in the summit is Saturday’s keynote luncheon featuring Jameel Jaffer, director  of the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University and the induction of a worthy individual into the State Open Government Hall of Fame
